SSB 02.1 DUO FILAMOS concrete spraying machine

The SSB 02 shotcrete machine operates on the principle of a metering drum (pneumatic transport) and is designed for spraying normal and fire-resistant concrete mixtures using the dry and wet methods. It is suitable for medium and large-scale works. The DUO version is powered by a two-speed electric motor. The basis for determining the machine's capacity is the size of the dosing drum.

Electric motor-driven concrete spraying machines are designed exclusively for work in environments without the risk of methane explosion. For work in environments at risk of methane explosion, it is necessary to use a machine with a pneumatic motor SSB 14 and SSB 24 COM-A.

The SSB 02 concrete spraying machine is manufactured in two basic versions, differing in the type of drive and the possibility of adjusting the capacity. The machine can be mounted on a wheeled chassis or a fixed frame. It is equipped as standard with a central lubrication system that ensures automatic lubrication at all friction points.

Application

The device is primarily used to reinforce surfaces in engineering structures, in the construction of water facilities, to reinforce vaults in tunnels and collectors, and in underground construction, as well as to reconstruct concrete structures.

Principle of operation

The SSB 02 concrete spraying machine operates on the principle of pneumatic transport.

Dry method

The dry mixture intended for spraying or transport is poured into the hopper and smoothly fills the dosing drum rollers. For easier transport of the mixture to the dosing drum, the machine's hopper is equipped with a vibrator. The rotating movement of the drum lifts the mixture 180° towards the upper air duct, through which it is blown from the individual rollers of the dosing drum towards the material supply hoses. Air is additionally supplied to the material hoses, enabling the material to be transported. A spray nozzle is mounted at the ends of the hoses, to which water is simultaneously supplied, and the mortar is mixed with water. A water control valve mounted in the gun regulates the amount of liquid dispensed.

Wet method

When spraying concrete mix using the wet method, the machine's hopper is filled with a pre-prepared wet mix of the same quality and composition as ready-mixed concrete. The mortar is transported through the machine in the same way as in the dry method. The only difference is that instead of water, a chemical accelerator is fed to the spray nozzle of the gun, which is possible thanks to an external chemical dosing pump.

The power of the machine is adjustable:

  • By changing the speed using a switch (SSB 02 DUO)
  • Using the variator control knob (SSB 02 COM-V).

Advantages:

  • Possibility of dry and wet spraying
  • Simple operation and maintenance of the machine
  • Smooth output adjustment (COM-V model)
  • Belt drive protects the drive from damage in the event of sudden machine stoppage
  • Long service life of technologically wear-prone parts (sealing and wear plates) thanks to central lubrication
  • robust construction enabling operation in difficult conditions
  • operating costs.

*) These are theoretical values. Actual performance depends on the type and composition of the mixture being transported, its moisture content, the transport distance, the amount and pressure of compressed air, and the diameter of the supply hoses.

**) Air consumption data are approximate values only and depend on the current performance of the machine, the transport length and the diameter of the supply hoses.
