The use of filters in paint units is crucial because they protect the nozzle from clogging. Pump filters act as a barrier against dirt and contaminants that could enter the device through the spray system, which optimises the quality of work. The pump filter complements standard airless systems, in which the paint passes through three filters before being sprayed: the inlet screen, the pump filter and the gun filter. The first is the largest and the last is the smallest. The denser the screen, the more the material is filtered.

Matching the filter to the density of the material

• For materials with lower viscosity (100 mesh), it is recommended to use smaller filters.
• For denser materials (60 mesh), larger filters must be used.
